Coforge partners with HFS Research to launch GenAI scaling blueprint

Coforge Limited has teamed up with HFS Research to unveil a comprehensive blueprint aimed at helping enterprises scale Generative AI (GenAI) adoption beyond the pilot stage. The report, titled “Breaking Free from GenAI Pilot Purgatory”, outlines a structured approach for organizations to transition from experimental AI use to enterprise-wide deployment.

Released on March 21, 2025, the study highlights that over 60% of companies remain stuck in pilot mode, unable to fully operationalize GenAI. It identifies seven major hurdles such as “Demo Delusion,” “Infrastructure Reality Gap,” and “Scaling Myopia,” which hinder successful adoption. Coforge, through this collaboration, offers a four-stage framework for GenAI implementation: identifying business-aligned opportunities, creating prototypes for proof of value, designing for scalable deployment, and ensuring continuous value delivery through model refinement and use case expansion.

Vikrant Karnik, EVP at Coforge, emphasized that the firm’s AI experts have already deployed several use cases and that clients are keen to move beyond trials. The partnership with HFS aims to offer a replicable innovation lifecycle that will prepare organizations for future AI advancements. HFS Research’s CEO Phil Fersht added that a “Fear of Becoming Obsolete (FOBO)” is driving a divide between AI experimenters and adopters, with the latter gaining a competitive edge.

This initiative reinforces Coforge’s focus on deep domain expertise and emerging technologies like AI, cloud, and data to transform clients into intelligent, growth-driven enterprises. The firm operates 30 global delivery centers across 23 countries.
