The upgraded facility features a 217-bed capacity, marking a 140% increase from its earlier capacity. This includes 23 surgical ICU beds, 10 medical ICU beds, 23 daycare beds, 16 pre- and post-operative beds, and 6 Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) units. The expansion is designed to accommodate a projected 30–40% rise in patient volume, with an estimated 55,000 outpatient visits and 9,000 inpatient admissions annually.

The cancer centre is supported by a multidisciplinary team of over 100 in-house doctors, delivering integrated services in surgical, medical, and radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, paediatric haemato-oncology, and advanced diagnostics.

The facility incorporates advanced technologies such as robotic surgery for gastrointestinal, urological, and gynaecological cancers, Gujarat’s first Tomo Therapy unit, and scalp cooling systems aimed at reducing hair loss during chemotherapy.

In addition to clinical services, the centre also offers patient support features including genetic counselling, multilingual international patient assistance, home and palliative care, and survivor support groups. These are supported by the HCG Foundation and the Ahmedabad Cancer Foundation.

The expansion of HCG Aastha Cancer Centre aims to improve access to high-quality cancer care for patients across Gujarat and surrounding regions.
