Popular Vehicles & Services Limited, an established automotive dealership group in India, announced that its wholly owned step-down subsidiary, Kuttukaran Cars Pvt. Ltd., has received four Letters of Intent (LOIs) to establish Ather 3S facilities in Maharashtra.
This marks the company’s entry into Maharashtra for Ather Energy’s operations, adding to its existing presence in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The upcoming expansion will include two facilities in Nagpur, and one each in Chandrapur and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (formerly known as Aurangabad).
Each 3S facility will incorporate a Sales (Experience Centre), Service, and Spare parts (Warehouse) component, designed to offer comprehensive support for Ather electric two-wheelers. The company expects operations to begin in the second quarter of the fiscal year.
Naveen Philip, Managing Director of Popular Vehicles and Services Limited, commented on the development, noting that this expansion reinforces the company’s continued partnership with Ather Energy. He highlighted that PVSL already operates in Maharashtra through other brand affiliations including Bharat Benz and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).
The move is aligned with the company’s strategy to grow its footprint in the electric vehicle (EV) segment and to diversify its revenue streams across different regions. The new facilities aim to support customer needs through dedicated service infrastructure and localized access to Ather’s EV offerings.
