In a strategic realignment of leadership, Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the appointment of Veejay Nakra as the new President of the Farm Equipment Business (FEB), effective May 4, 2025. Nakra, who currently heads the Automotive Division as President, will now be entrusted with leading Mahindra’s crucial agricultural machinery and equipment arm.
The leadership change comes as part of a broader overhaul within the Mahindra Group aimed at boosting synergy, consolidating operations, and leveraging leadership expertise across business verticals. Nakra’s appointment follows the elevation of Hemant Sikka, the current FEB President, who will take over as the Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Logistics Limited.
Veejay Nakra has been instrumental in transforming Mahindra’s automotive division, particularly driving the brand’s dominance in the SUV segment. Under his leadership, the division saw several successful product launches and a strengthened market presence. His transition to the farm business is expected to bring innovation, agility, and stronger market alignment to the FEB, which plays a vital role in Mahindra’s global strategy.
The company also announced that R Velusamy will now head the consolidated Automotive Business, overseeing both SUV and LCV portfolios.
This reshuffle highlights Mahindra Group’s emphasis on internal succession and the deployment of proven leadership talent across its flagship businesses.
