Shares of Cyient DLM Ltd, the design-led manufacturing arm of Cyient, jumped 8.12% to ₹520 in early trade on April 23 following the company’s strong financial performance for the fourth quarter of FY25. The stock opened significantly higher than its previous close of ₹480.95, driven by investor optimism around the Q4 earnings.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2025, Cyient DLM reported a consolidated revenue of ₹428.1 crore, reflecting a robust 18.3% year-on-year growth compared to ₹361.8 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s EBITDA rose sharply by 50.9% YoY to ₹57.4 crore from ₹38 crore, while EBITDA margin expanded by 290 basis points to 13.4%, up from 10.5% in Q4 FY24.
The net profit (PAT) stood at ₹31 crore, an increase of 36.5% YoY from ₹22.7 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Profit before tax came in at ₹41.7 crore, up 35.7% year-on-year, with the PAT margin improving by 96 basis points to 7.3%, compared to 6.3% in Q4 FY24.
The company attributed the margin improvement to a favorable revenue mix, operational efficiencies, and a one-off benefit, which together added approximately 257 bps to the margin performance. Management emphasized that this quarter recorded the highest PAT margin in the last 12 quarters, indicating significant progress in profitability.
However, the company’s order book declined 12% YoY to ₹1,906 crore, and was also down 11% sequentially. Despite the dip, analysts noted that the quality of earnings and profitability remains intact.
In terms of standalone performance, revenue came in at ₹340.3 crore, representing a 5.9% decline YoY, which the company said was due to operational shifts outside the consolidated view.
On the market side, Cyient DLM’s market capitalization stands at ₹41.37 billion, with a P/E ratio of 69.55. The stock has seen a 52-week range between ₹378.60 and ₹870.00, and today’s upmove reflects renewed confidence from investors post earnings.
