Tata Motors Q4 FY25 global wholesales decline 3% YoY to 3,66,177 units

Tata Motors Limited announced its global wholesale figures for the fourth quarter of FY25 on Tuesday, reporting a 3% year-on-year decline. The company sold a total of 3,66,177 units in Q4 FY25, including Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles, compared to the same period last year.

Segment-wise performance:

  • Commercial Vehicles: Global wholesales, including Tata Motors and Tata Daewoo brands, stood at 1,07,765 units, down 3% YoY.
  • Passenger Vehicles (including EVs): Tata Motors reported 1,46,999 units, a 6% decrease from Q4 FY24.
  • Jaguar Land Rover (JLR): Combined global wholesales stood at 1,11,413 units, marking a 1% YoY rise.
    • Jaguar: 7,070 vehicles
    • Land Rover: 1,04,343 vehicles

The JLR numbers exclude volumes from CJLR, a joint venture between Jaguar Land Rover and Chery Automobiles in China.

The marginal growth in JLR’s wholesale performance provided some cushion to the overall decline, although a drop in commercial and passenger vehicle sales weighed on Tata Motors’ quarterly performance.
