Real Madrid have won 1-0 against Getafe FC last night in the La Liga as they close the points gap to 4 on the table. Barcelona are on top of the table and are likely to lift the trophy but Madrid aren’t leaving this race. Arda Güler was the hero last night as his only goal helped Carlo Ancelotti take three points from the game. Arda scored in the first half and the second half was pretty boring as none of the teams looked desperate to score goals.
Real Madrid kept their La Liga title hopes alive with a narrow 1-0 win over Getafe FC last night. The victory, courtesy of a first-half strike from Turkish sensation Arda Güler, helped Los Blancos cut the gap at the top of the table to just four points behind leaders Barcelona.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men came into the match knowing that nothing less than a win would do, and it was the 19-year-old Güler who stepped up. His composed finish in the first half proved to be the difference-maker on a night where both teams lacked urgency in the second period.
While the second half offered little in terms of attacking excitement, Madrid’s solid defensive display ensured they bagged all three points. Barcelona may still be favourites to lift the trophy, but Real Madrid have made it clear — they are not backing down without a fight.
